Paul Sprawl has spent nearly three decades making a life out of writing songs, playing guitar, and taking his music on the road.
His sound sits somewhere in the wide world of rootsy Americana with country blues at its foundation. Sprawl is a distinctive guitar player, using slide, tapping and percussive techniques alongside harmonica and a deep baritone voice. The result is music that can feel stripped down and acoustic without ever feeling simple.
He has been touring full time since 1997 performing across North America and Europe and building a catalog of original music along the way. His newest album, Dark Night Sky, was released in 2026.
Paul comes to David’s 105 on Friday, October 23 as part of the Dark Night Sky Tour joined by longtime artistic collaborator Leralee Whittle.
